The film Black Swan starring Natalie Portman has certainly caused a stir since its release earlier this month. The film depicts the ballet world as riddled with paranoia and as a profession where eating disorders are rife. This afternoon John Gillmore will be speaking to a former dancer about the reality of life in the ballet and the pressures on young dancers.
