In May the first UK wide referendum since 1975 is due to take place. Voters will be asked if they want electoral reform by adopting the Alternative Vote method instead of the traditional First Past The Post system. Liz Copper's report looks at the 2002 & 2005 Mayoral Elections in Stoke-on-Trent that used the Supplementary Vote.
