Braunton Burrows – Matthiola sinuate
Carol takes a walk along her local beach, Braunton Burrows, the largest sand dune system in the UK. She discovers Matthiola sinuate, the sea stock, a plant that has evolved to thrive in pure sand. Its surprisingly delicate perfume gives little hint to it being a member of the cabbage family.
