Eight hundred first-time mums are taking part in a trial where they will be taught hypnosis for pain relief, rather than using pain killers. The hypnobirthing trials will run in Blackburn and Burnley.
Eight hundred first-time mums are taking part in a trial where they will be taught hypnosis for pain relief, rather than being given pain killers. It's called hypnobirthing and the trials will run at hospitals in Blackburn and Burnley, led by Professor Soo Downe, a specialist in midwifery at the University of Central Lancashire.
