Mystery of the bald lemurs
The ring-tailed lemurs of the Berenty reserve in Southern Madagascar are quite special, and they have been intensively studied by scientists over many years. But a while ago, the lemurs started losing their fur. The cause seemed to be an introduced tree species that the lemurs were eating. Primatologist Hajarimanitra Rambeloarivony explained to 'Madagascar' researcher Jo Ashman what had to be done to solve the problem.
