Julie Summers on her latest book about wartime evacuees
Julie Summers tells some of the stories of wartime evacuees in Oxfordshire.
Karen Wiseman and Antonia Keaney make up the education team at Blenheim Palace. They look after 30,000 children who visit the palace each year, as well as organise exhibitions and carry out important research. They talk about why they love their job so much and what brought them to Blenheim in the first place.
Fenella Gray grew up in Bampton but has lived in many places around the world, including Oman and Malaysia. She talks to Jo about returning to Oxfordshire and why she is actively involved in many volunteer roles in Bampton.
Julie Summers talks about her latest book, When The Children Came Home. It tells the personal stories of the evacuees who spent the war years in Oxfordshire. One of those evacuees tells his own story of growing up in Wheatley.
