What is it really like to be a landlord
Keith Seville is a Reading landlord and he explains how he got started and the ups and downs of life renting out properties.
Anyone who has been a landlord will tell you it's not quite the money-for-old-rope thing it might seem to be. There are repairs to pay for, gaps between tenancy when no rent is coming in and, perhaps more than anything, the worry that your tenants might misbehave, alienating your neighbours and damaging your property.
Imagine how much more worrying it could be, therefore, if your tenants were youngsters who had come to the attention of the courts or adults with complex needs and challenging behaviour.
Keith Seville from Reading is such a landlord and has been since he was 18 years old! He told 大象传媒 Radio Berkshire's Bill Buckley how it all started.
