Reading FC defender Chris Armstrong announces his retirement after being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Andrew talks to his team-mates and finds out a bit more about the condition.
The Multiple Sclerosis Society has praised Reading Football Club for letting one of the club's top players continue to play after being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis a year ago. Chris Armstrong announced yesterday he is retiring at the age of just 28 due to the degenerative condition. Brian McDermott says that football is Chris' life and he'd been fighting to keep his condition private. Shane Long says it has been an emotional time for the team.
Sally Hughes is from the Multiple Sclerosis Society and explained more to Andrew Peach about the condition.
