From novels to busy Mums, their fears and our phobias, hang out with the Afternoon Show from 1pm
Ali sits in for Jo and meets Simon Mason for a chat about his moving novel Moon Pie.
Simon Mason joins Ali to share the story of his upcoming novel Moon Pie, published on 7th April. Simon has published three novels for adults, five novels for younger readers and one book of non-fiction. Moon Pie deals with issues such as bereavement and alcoholism but in a way which is accessible to its audience of 9-11 year olds.
Penny Stephens takes time out of her busy schedule as a working mum to tell Ali about her upcoming abseil down the John Radcliffe Hospital, for local child bereavement charity SeeSaw. One small problem is her fear of heights! Penny is undergoing hypnotherapy to get her through this - we catch up with how this is going.
Then Ali looks at phobias and asks what are your irrational fears? From the dentist to spiders, or even balloons, hear what the experts have to say.
