Lancashire Fire Service say a fire, still burning near Belmont after six days, is one of the worst they've been to. The fire's destroyed moorland and woodland, which could take 30 years to recover.
Lancashire Fire Service say a fire, which is still burning near Belmont after six days, is one of the worst they've been to. The fire's destroyed moorland and woodland, which environmental experts say could take 30 years to recover. The fire is deep in the peat, and firefighters are having to dig it out before dousing it with water. Many crews from across the county have been involved.
