A new survey for the charity "drinkaware" says families are the main suppliers of alcohol for young teenagers...
That's despite recent research suggesting that giving your child drink at home can increase their risk of immediate and long term harm.
More than one in ten 15 to 17 year olds say they drink at home two to three times a week and at least one in five say they regularly drink in someone else's home.
But is this necessarily a bad thing?
Nearly half the teenagers asked about their drinking say they would go to their parents for advice about alcohol.
Should it be in the home that we learn these important lessons in life?
Or ultimately if you allow your children to drink are you paving the way for future drink problems?
