Londonderry responds to the death of Bobby Sands
In Londonderry several thousand people mark the funeral of Bobby Sands with a silent march. However, about 100 youths in the Catholic Gobnascale area of the city erect barricades and when the army moves in to remove them they are attacked with missiles and petrol bombs. No one is injured.
