Professor J K Galbraith explores planning structures of large businesses in his second lecture entitled 'The Modern Corporation'.

Professor John Kenneth Galbraith is the Paul M Warburg Professor of Economics at Harvard University and is the author of 'The Affluent Society'. In his Reith series entitled 'The New Industrial State', he explores the economics of production.

In this lecture entitled 'The Modern Corporation', Professor Galbraith explores the large corporation as a planning instrument. Building on his first lecture, he discusses the way businesses plan their adaption to modern technology and their products, which leads to an organisation of resources. He argues that success depends on the size of large corporations and their scheduling strategy.
