Gary bumps into his 1940s son Michael, who is shabbily dressed and is trying to sell Gary wartime objects. Gary is disturbed by his son's state, so he decides to return to the past to try and reverse Michaels's future fortunes. On his return to the1940s, Gary writes and releases a song and then sets up a trust fund for Michael's future, subsequently reversing Michael's bleak fate.
