Cause for concern-Fewer Police officers than in the 1970s claims Humberside Police Federation
Cause for concern:There are claims that police cuts have left some areas being served by fewer officers than there were in the 1970s. Figures obtained by Humberside Police Federation suggest that officers are now dealing with more than double the number of crimes than 1974 - when the force was created. Chairman Steve Garmston believes the public should be concerned.
