The Assynt Community Association in Lochinver, North West Scotland has redeveloped a disused fishermen's mission with the ambition of creating a sustainable community hub with a visitor centre, accommodation, cafe, lobster nursery and marine archive. Although this village did not appear in the TV series, it received one of four Village SOS Learning Awards from the Big Lottery Fund and had the help of Village Champions.
