High street shops remain empty

New research shows one-in-seven shops have remained empty over the past year.

New research shows one-in-seven shops have remained empty over the past year. St Albans seems to be bucking the trend with less then 1% of its shops closed to the public. The Heritage Lottery Fund has announced it's contributing to a 拢3m investment scheme to regenerate Bedford High Street.

The Football Association has launched an investigation into a racist joke on an email sent by the chief executive of the Bedfordshire FA. Peter Brown has apologised.
