A Suffolk businessman says a lack of support from the banks for small firms could force him back on the dole. Fred Day's airport transfer business is two years old this week. He says it's doing so well that he's being forced to subcontract work out. But when it comes to getting more money from the banks to help expand the firm, he's getting nowhere.

Should Latin or Greek be more widely offered in schools? A new charity is awarding grants to some state schools to enable them to teach Latin and Ancient Greek. Classics for All has already awarded more than 拢90,000 to eight projects around the country.
