A growing number of GPs in England are striking patients off practice lists without warning following disagreements with them. An NHS watchdog says too many doctors are failing to deal with basic complaints and that patients' voices are often ignored or unheard.

The report from the Health Ombudsman also reveals a Kent health trust is one of the most complained-about in England. 110 complaints were received about the East Kent Hospitals University NHS Trust, with only five trusts around the country getting more.
