Every item recovered from the submerged city of Pavlopetri was fully re-created using CGI, the graphics team completing a full picture of each artefact as it was used 3500 years ago.
Dr. Jon Henderson is shown uncovering a variety of different vessels from the seabed, imagining as he dives how it may once have functioned. Each new item is then brought to shore for the graphics team to laser scan, to capture the 3D structure and texture. The discovery is then skilfully brought to life using the scans and the knowledge of finds expert Dr. Chrysanthi Galloe.
These fascinating items are a crucial part of the excavation and a vital insight to how the people of Pavlopetri once lived.
