A Setback to the Goldmine Plans
John Burton believes that opening up a goldmine in the tiny village of Tyndrum will bring some much needed prosperity. So he is devastated to hear of a setback just days before the hearing to decide whether or not the project can go ahead. The Park Authority's Head of Planning, Gordon Watson, has recommended that the board members vote against the goldmine, on the grounds that it will ruin the beautiful, protected landscape.
