Mohammed Nazir came to the UK in 2001 from RAWAT, a town close to Islamabad in Pakistan where he was qualified and attained an LLB and Masters in Political Science. His father Barkhurdar Khan Awan made a significant contribution to education services and played a vital role in improving the standards of local community. Mohammed successfully completed the QLTT (Qualified Lawyers Transfer Test) in the UK and is now a practicing solicitor with Wosskow Brown Solicitors, as their head of Property and Immigration departments. He is married with 3 children and has a keen interest in local and National politics. He is a columnist in the regional Asian newspaper the ILM and also contributes to local media in areas of law and social policy.
