Dot is devastated upon hearing news of Charlie's intentions to leave her before Christmas. So she confides in Pat, but Pat is unsympathetic towards her and tells her that she's better off without him, as they're incompatible and cut from different cloths. Heart broken and out of dismay Dot slaps Pat.
