Scots - the language of poetry and the playground
Rabbie Burns used his own dialect in his work, and so does Dundonian poet Mark Thomson. When Mark writes a poem, the sound is very important so he chooses from Scots, English and Dundonian words depending on what he wants to convey. We also visit a primary school in Aberdeen, where the children read some well-loved poems and share their favourite Scots sayings.
