Research by 大象传媒 Radio Kent has found Kent County Council spends over 拢30,000 a year on a taxi to take a single child to school.

In total the Authority spent over 拢15m on school transport costs last year, with thousands going on taxis for children who don't have access to public transport, and are too far away to walk.

Education campaigners say the situation is a scandal, and even a Kent parent benefiting from the service is condemning it as a waste of money.
