'That try' - Gareth Edwards' 1973 Barbarians try
Edwards was a giant of Welsh rugby in the days when the national side won three grand slams and five triple crowns. The son of Gwaun-Cae-Gurwen was a key presence in that glorious run: 53 caps between 1967 and 1978, 13 as captain, and a dazzling partnership with Barry John. His try for the Barbarians against New Zealand in January 1973 still looks like 25 seconds of magic. No wonder that rugby fans ever since have voted him one of the greatest players of all time.
