How important is school uniform?
A teacher at a Kent school has decided to put pupils in isolation for the day if they turn up not wearing regulation uniform.
Matthew Wright is the head at Wrotham School at Wrotham just outside Sevenoaks, he says he decided on the move because even though the majority of pupils would turn up wearing the correct uniform, there was a hard core minority who persistently flouted the rules.
Matthew Wright says less than a week after he introduced the policy he has halved the number of children flouting the rules.
He says uniform is a great leveller and that if you have rules and they are broken then you need consequences.
Do you agree with him? Is school uniform important? Is it a battle every morning to get your kids to wear a uniform? Does it really matter what children wear to school?
