After years of decline, there's been an increase in the number of people tying the knot. Figures from the National Office of National Statistics show the number of weddings has risen by 3.7% in a year.
Analysts believe the recession has caused a return to family values and a desire for the stability marriage offers.
The figures are likely to be welcome news for campaigners who want David Cameron to stand by his promise to give a tax break to married couples.
It's believed Chancellor George Osborne may consider the tax allowance for married couples in his upcoming budget on 21 March.
