Do you feel safe driving on the motorway? Nearly half of us flout the existing 70mph speed limit on motorways. Do you feel safe on the M20 the M25 and the M2? Is it a good idea to increase the speed limit to 80mph or maybe go even higher? Are braking distances and middle lane cruiser the real problem - or is it speed? Have you witnessed or worse been involved in a high-speed crash?

Department for Transport (DfT) figures show that up to 49% of UK drivers unreasonably disregard the national speed limit of 70mph. Thanks in part to improved car technology and safety, there has been a 75% decline in road fatalities since the current speed limit was first introduced in 1965.

The hosepipe ban is coming! Kent's households face hosepipe restictions next month in a bid to tackle the increasing severe drought in the South East. The ban applies to millions of homes and follows one of the driest two-year periods on record.
