The self-sacrifice of Jesus is reflected here and now by a 12 year old girl played by Aimee Leach, a pupil at a Preston school. As Bella, the daughter of an alcoholic mother, she cares for her young brother and sister. As she shops, cooks, baths and loves them, her day parallels each of the traditional numbered stages on the Stations of the Cross, which depict Christ's final day.
