Musician Charlie Daniels talks about how the perception of the south has started to change after being looked down on for many years- even becoming fashionable. For his 1976 campaign anthem Jimmy Carter chose Charlie Daniels' hit single 'The South's Gonna do it Again'. The Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd and others that followed did this entirely on their own terms, blending the music of the region - blues, country, rock and roll - with a gung-ho attitude that set the South, and then America, on fire.
