How did the Tennis Court Oath change French history ?
By the late 1780s, France was in desperate financial trouble and was close to breaking point. As a result Louis XVI brought together the Estates General in aim to solve France's problems.
This was the start of a series of events that was to change the course of French history as people power started to challenge the absolute power of the King.
