17 days and 29 Gold medals later - it's all over. The London 2012 Games have come to an end.
Great Britain had one of it's most successful Olympics to date winning a total of 65 medals. Venues across Britain hosted millions of spectators for a once in a lifetime opportunity to witness the greatest sports people of our era compete. Last night's closing ceremony celebrated the best of British music and culture, with performances from The Who, Take That and Spice Girls. In closing, Lord Coe told billions of people that "when our time came... We did it right".
