Two policemen 鈥� one a rookie volunteer 鈥淪pecial,鈥� the other a veteran with 30 years frontline policing under his belt 鈥� recount their experiences of the rioting in Hackney on 8th August 2011. A police stop and search inflamed an already angry crowd that had gathered on the streets of one of London鈥檚 poorest boroughs. The rioting in Hackney would be characterised by some of the most violent attacks on the police.
