Mau Mau uprising in Kenya
Britain emerged from WW2 bankrupt and exhausted. The country鈥檚 values seemed to have shifted from ruling an Empire to rebuilding society at home. This caused unrest throughout the Empire, as colonies seized on Britain鈥檚 waning power to gain independence.
