In the news hour from 5pm, Prince Harry has begun another tour of duty in Afghanistan. The Prince, who is a member of 662 squadron, 3 Regiment Army Air corps at Wattisham, will be stationed at Camp Bastion for the next four months flying an Apache helicopter. Captain Wales qualified as a pilot for the attack aircraft at the Suffolk airbase in February. James speaks to Ed Macy, a former Apache pilot based at Wattisham and author of the books Apache and Hellfire.

Britain's Olympic and Paralympic athletes are to be given their own separate honours list to celebrate their success in the 2012 Games. The regular New Years' List limits the number of sportsmen and women who can be honoured. James gets the thoughts of Mildenhall Cycling Club member Max Pendleton, the father of Olympic cyclist Victoria Pendleton.

The National Union of Teachers says its members have voted to take strike action over their pay and conditions. It said more than 80% of those who voted were in favour of walking out. Graham White, the Secretary for the Suffolk NUT, tells James why they've decided to do this now.
