From brownfield to cityscape (pt 2/3)
An outline of five possible development options for a brownfield site in the Staffordshire Potteries. A 'green' proposal is to build a city farm for the local community to use. An 'economic' alternative could be to build a shopping centre to bring jobs back to the city. A 'social' suggestion could be affordable housing for young people to get on the property ladder. An 'enterprise and arts' proposal of building workshops is considered. Finally, an 'amenity' vision could be a leisure facility or museum.
