The killing of 2 female police officers in Greater Manchester has re-ignited the debate on whether police should be routinely armed. Constables Fiona Bone, 32, and Nicola Hughes, 23, were killed when they responded to a false report of a burglary in Mottram. Officers are continuing to question a man about their deaths.
