In the news hour from 5pm, Lowestoft Olympic bronze medal winning boxer Anthony Ogogo is being appointed as an honorary sports ambassador for the Waveney Area. He's guest of honour at the Waterlane Leisure Centre in his hometown, from where our sports producer Graeme Mac reports live.

A man has been sentenced to life in jail following a row over a dog which ended in his partner's ex being stabbed in Bury St Edmunds. Ipswich Crown Court heard that 49 year-old Mark Turner of Cockfield had gone round to Robin Lionnet's house in Ashwell Road with the intention of taking his rottweiler dog. A jury convicted Turner of murder last month and now the judge has sentenced him, saying he will have to serve a minimum of 22 years. Our reporter Andrew Woodger speaks to Detective Chief Inspector Steve Mattin.

A survey conducted by National Grid has found that nearly 80% of people nationwide would be willing to pay extra to have underground cables. Those questioned agreed that they would be happy to pay an extra 拢20 on top of their electricity bill. Plans to build new pylons in South Suffolk and North Essex have been met with opposition from local people who've campaigned for more of them to be buried.
