In the news hour from 5pm, the chief executive of the East of England Ambulance Trust has stepped down after more than five years in the role. Hayden Newton is expected to retire within the next six months. The announcement has come in the wake of the GMB union passing a vote of no confidence in him. Gary Applin from the union Unison tells James that the news hasn't really come as a shock.

A man and a woman have been found guilty of conspiring to burgle a Bury St Edmunds jeweller who was stabbed to death. The body of 66 year old Peter Avis was found in the flat above his shop in the town centre in January. Another man admitted his murder. Alison Acton has the latest.

Suffolk police have been praised for how they deal with cases of historic abuse. It's been reported that more people are coming forward to report abuse, prompted by the revelations about Sir Jimmy Savile. James speaks to DI Tonia Antonis from Suffolk Police's dedicated rape investigation unit.
