Would the Paramount theme park bring North Kent alive?

There are detailed and quite advanced plans for a major leisure resort on the Swanscombe Peninsula. It would include a massive theme park, Europe's largest water park, a performing arts centre, cinemas and hotels. It would run under the Paramount name - Paramount is a major Hollywood film company known for blockbusters like Titanic, Bravehart and the animated Madagascar films.

There is talk of 27,000 jobs being created on a 900 acre site close to Ebbsfleet International railway station. Local politicians and tourism bosses are almost giddy with excitement. There hasn't even been a planning application yet. So do you want the paramount park?

Is this North Kent's best hope for the future? Would you like to work there? Can you see any downsides?
