Blacksmiths: Keeping the craft going
Blacksmiths were once one of the mainstays of any rural community. Able to turn their hands to just about anything from making nails and horseshoes to ornamental gates and even new wheels for carriages.
There aren't many of them about now, but the ones that are left are determined to keep the craft going, like Joe Mason who works from his forge in the grounds of Cotesbach Hall near Lutterworth.
