It’s been 10 years since the French government shut the controversial Sangatte refugee camp near the port of Calais in France. It used to draw thousands of asylum seekers a year desperate to cross the short stretch of sea to Britain – as well as the people traffickers taking advantage of them. So with the camp shut, has the problem been solved? Emma Jane Kirby reports.
