Jacob Rickard presents a special show of essential advice for new musicians about artist managers.

When's the best time in your career to get a manager? What does a manager actually do, and do you even need one?

To answer these questions, Jacob is joined by expert music industry guests.

Tunbridge Wells based artist manager Dougie Bruce, formerly a scout for Sony Music and an A&R for Universal Music Publishing, is now working with XIX Entertainment where he manages Aloe Blacc and new bands including Park Bench Society.

Gravesend based producer and songwriter Alex Light, formerly of the band LightsGoBlue and now performing solo, is also on the show.

Plus on the phone is Simon Bray, manager of the emerging Cornwall band Tall Ships.
