Rebel troops sweep into Goma in the Democratic Republic of Goma, under the nose of a UN peacekeeping force; while cupcakes are on the menu in Addis Ababa.

Gabriel Gatehouse was in the city of Goma last week when rebel troops entered, defeating the government's forces. Not only that, but a UN peacekeeping force was also unable to stop them. While politicians in neighbouring countries meet to discuss the situation, what will happen to the residents of Goma?
