Surviving the Holocaust - Judaism in Lithuania
An eye-witness recounts the massacre of Lithuanian Jews during World War Two. After a scene-setting opening, presenter Reverend Peter Owen-Jones visits a deserted wooden synagogue in Lithuania. He meets 82-year-old Agrippina who witnessed the massacre of Jews from the synagogue. We visit one of the last synagogues in Vilnius and attend a Friday evening Shabbat service.
