African Hebrew Israelites
These worshipers are African-American Hebrews who have set up a community in the Holy Land. Their desire to lead a good life has its roots in Old Testament scriptures. Presenter Reverend Peter Owen-Jones visits the African Hebrew Israelites at the Village of Peace. He hears about their sense of calling to move from America to Israel, finds out about their vegan lifestyle and takes part in a demonstration of the faith using a bed of nails. He attends a lively Bible study service and considers the difficulties that arise from competing claims to the Land of Israel.
