Introduction to the Qur'an
The Qur'an is the sacred book of Islam revealed to the Prophet Muhammad. Muslims believe it contains the actual words of Allah and has remained unchanged for 1,400 years. The Qur'an was revealed to Muhammad in Arabic, and Muslims believe that only in that language can its beauty and meaning be fully appreciated. It is composed of chapters, called as Surahs, and verses, known as Ayahs. .
