Age rating video games

Video games are played by millions of children and young people and, like films, are given ratings based on their suitability for particular age groups. There are two different systems which coexist for age rating video games - BBFC (British Board of Film Classification) and PEGI (Pan European Game Information). Harvey Elliott of Electronic Arts, who is involved with the 'Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince' game, describes how the designers and developers work to strict guidelines, particularly with respect to the portrayal of violence. There are comments from young people and their parents about how much notice they take of ratings.
