Limestone and its uses
Different types of rock can be found in different parts of the country. One variety of limestone, called Portland stone, is used in buildings such as the Bank of England. Another kind, which has a blueish tinge, is made into floor tiles. The rocks are removed from the ground using explosives or by cutting with saws.
